Image

Flying With Injured Wings

Image
On the occasion of World Disability Day (3rd December),I'm sharing a real story of a brave Indian girl who is physically challenged, but you decide, whether she is 'Handicapped'. September 2015,I was waiting for a local train to go Mumbai, for celebrating 'Ganesh Chaturthi'(A festival of worshiping Lord Ganesha). The train arrived on time. Most of the seats were vacant.I grabbed the seat closer to the door.My destination was 1.30 hrs away. So,I plugged headphones to avoid boredom. After 20 minutes,The train stopped at Thane Station (Mumbai).I saw one girl,She was carrying a heavy college bag on her shoulders, which was loaded with too many ambitions & dreams. She was struggling to get into the train because her right leg was partially impaired. She stepped into the train without taking anybody's help. I was looking at her with dead-alive expressions. She was putting too many efforts for every single step.I moved to window side & offered her to seat. Her p...

The Sisters

This is a real story of an Indian teenage girl named ‘Paridhi’ who’s reciting in Mumbai. This story is continued further in the words of Paridhi. I was the most loved daughter of my parents because I was the first girl child over the last five generation of my family.I had one sister named ‘Pranjal’ who was 3 yrs younger than me.Both of us were the princess of our parents. They love was infinite for me & my sister. In the junior college days,I had no friends because I was of shy nature. But,I never felt the need of any friend,my sister was the closest friend for me.We were sharing our rooms with each other. We had great love and furious fights as well,as everyone has with their siblings. November 2010,It was a usual afternoon.I was spending the day by watching T.V.  My sister asked for the T.V.’s remote.I told her to wait. She was impatience & stubborn as a result, she lost temper and slapped me so hard that I couldn’t stop my tears.I complain about her to dad. The Turning Point

Image
This story is inspired from a real incident of a boy named ‘Mohit’.The story is continued in his words. June 2012,It was my 3rd day in 12th std.I sat on the first bench.A professor entered and started with maths.Everyone was copying the formula from the blackboard except a boy who was sitting just next to me.He was not writing anything.“Why are you not taking down formula?” I asked. He replied,”I’m partially blind,I can’t see neither on the board nor in your notebook.” I left conversation & got busy in copying. In recess,I started a conversation with him by asking,”How do you go home.” He : My dad comes to pick me as and when needed. I: It means, you don’t go outside alone in evening? He: I go,I hold my mom’s finger when I go in the evening. I: You’re very lucky! He surprisingly asked,”How?” I replied with moist voice,”I forgot the pronunciation of ‘Mom’.I lost my mom in 2007.She died in LPG cylinder blast.I was in school that time. When I returned to the home,I got to see ...
